WEEK 15 REPORT W/E 20TH JANUARY

20/01/2023

DIVISION 1
Hesketh Fleetwood B moved well out of the drop zone when they defeated bottom club Stanley A. 11 levels and 10 mixed were more than enough to win comfortably and prevent Stanley from winning their first point of the season. Katie Kinder and Ant Cross both had maximums whilst Lee Meakin was Stanley's best player as he won 2 games.

Lightning had a convincing win over Kingfisher B by 23-1. They move back into 2nd place but with tougher fixtures to come. Lynne Williams and Nathaniel Wilkinson with the solitary mixed game for Kingfisher.

DIVISION 2
Project 12 moved into mid table as they beat Stanley C 17-7. Stanley were behind from the start and trailed 9-3 after the levels. Despite winning 4 mixed they just failed to win the 8 games required for a bonus point. Mark Pickles and John Wright were the star performers winning 7 games each. Stanley's Angela Longstaff managed to win 4 for the gallant losers. Stanley's 14 year old Jack Wilford had a great game as he won 2 games and narrowly lost another 25-23! Special mention also to Paul Whitehouse who,due to an injury, played the match left handed and still managed to win 4 games !!

LEVELS
Lightning A preserved their lead at the top of the table with an expected win against Kirkham Charter. Amit Mistry conceded fewest points as Lightning remain the only team in the league to have a 100% record!

Mid table rivals Bloomfield A and Lids B looked to be a close affair as started the match with 5 games apiece. However, Bloomfield rattled off the final 6 games to win 11-5. Lids at least go away with a point. Eddie Choudhury won 7 and was POTM whilst Gregor Creelman, despite being on the losing team, won a creditable 4 games.

Jacob Carter was the best player as Hesketh Fleetwood B beat Lightning B 11-5.
Lightning's James Bunting and John Wright won the very last game to earn a bonus point. Jacob won 6 on the night and James managed to win 4.
