Stanley A +280 beat Poulton by 16 points.

Having won the league, Poulton were looking to add a cup win to ensure a memorable season. Stanley, on the other hand, had a very tough debut season in the 1st division losing every match and only picking up 1 point. Despite the huge handicap, Stanley were considered the underdogs, and needed to pick up about 10 points every game. Poulton were hoping to gain about 140 in both levels and also the mixed. Poulton's strong ladies gained a huge 82 points. In the men's, Stanley played above themselves too, not only win a game, but restrict the champions to only a 31 point advantage. With the levels completed, Poulton had only gained 113 points, well short of their 140 target. In the mixed, Stanley kept their noses in front with some great scores particularly at the end of the match to win the trophy for the first time - a great end to a difficult season. Michelle Skinner and Nikki Wilford both gained over 100 points for Poulton whilst Steve Canavan was Stanley's best player.
