Division 2
Kingfisher B kept in touch with the leaders with a 16-8 home win v Stanley A thanks to a dominant display by their ladies who won all 6 whilst the men's ended 3-3. The mixed was much closer and finished 7-5 to Kingfisher though not without a fight as Stanley won the last 2 games through Wendy Rutter and Steve Canavan to earn a bonus point. Lynne Williams won all her 8 games for the winners and Steve won 6.

Lids C picked up their first point of the season despite a 16-8 loss to Project 12. Mark Pickles won all his 8 games for Project who climb up to 2nd place and a promotion spot. Linda Settle won 6 of Lids' 8 games to help them earn a vital bonus point in their quest to avoid relegation.

Division 3
It looks like a 3 way fight for promotion with all 3 top teams managing comfortable wins this week.

On Monday Ribby Hall A beat bottom placed Kirkham Charter B 20-4 and maintain their fine start to the season. 4 games went to settings (3 to Ribby) reflecting Kirkham's fighting spirit. Anita Driscoll and Ian Womesley won 8 games for the promotion challengers. Amelia Parker,Dave Longbottom and Richard Pascucci replied with 2 for Kirkham.

On Wednesday Kirkham Charter A also kept pace at the top with an away win at Stanley B by 16-8. The match was poised at 6-6 after the level doubles but then KC forged ahead winning the mixed 10-2 although it was Stanley's mixed pairing of Julie Burrows and Steve Whyatt who won the very last game for a much deserved bonus point. Julie and Steve actually split all their games to end with 4 games each whilst James Atherton won 7 for KC to keep their promotion dream alive!

On Friday Hesketh B returned to top spot with an emphatic 19-5 home win versus Kingfisher C. The result doesn't reflect on the games as it was a brave effort by Kingfisher but unfortunately Hesketh were just too strong. Jill McMillan won all 8 of her games while Joe Wadsworth was a last minute stand in and won an impressive 6 games for his only 2nd match. Rebecca was the best player for Kingfisher winning 2 ladies, one 24-22 & a mixed. Thanks to Mike Lloyd for this report.
